Kids Art Exhibition
"Educators tell us that art encourages fine motor skills, neural development, and problem-solving abilities and that it can be used effectively to teach and understand other key subjects such as reading, writing, math, and science. Therapists tell us that art is valuable because it allows children to process their world, to deal with sometimes scary emotions in a safe way, and because it gives them critical sensory input. Artists tell us that art is important for its own sake—as a source of beauty and expression, as well as simply for the process of creating. Kids tell us that art is fun, an activity they enjoy. Parents tell us that art is vital to their families because it keeps everyone engaged and happy and helps with the sometimes difficult transitions of the day." A few months ago I came into contact with the lovely Kate Driscoll from ArtSparks. Kate is a primary school art teacher in WA and she leads workshops for her fellow teachers along with a partner in their ArtSparks venture. Since following Kate on her account art_teacher_life I have been so pleasantly impressed and surprised with the level of talent of her students. So when she decided to get all of our Life of Colour products to use with her students I was thrilled.
When children are using good quality art supplies and have some guidance, it is amazing what they can create!
Here is some of the work they have come up with using our paint pens and watercolour pens. Over time I will keep adding more work so this becomes like a little art exhibition that you can share with your children.
Thanks Kate and team for your awesome work!
Here is their Grotti Lotti inspired series done by year 5/6...WOW! They used our Watercolour Brush Pens
Here are year 3/4 Kyle Hughes-Odgers inspired pieces again using our Watercolour Brush Pens
Here are her year 1's craft using our Paint pens on recycled spice jars
Isn't that all so wonderful and inspiring? I know I would want my children to be exposed to such incredible art at a young age to inspire their creativity.
If you are a teacher and want to share your kids art with us, please do! This will be an ongoing art exhibition of our amazing children's art!
