Why We Do What We Do

We are passionate about art and the many health and wellbeing benefits creative expression brings to  our lives.

In this fast-paced, modern world in which we live, we are over-worked, over-connected and over stressed. Many of us are looking for ways to slow down, opt out and focus on the things that truly  matter, but we don’t know where to start.

Art has the power to heal. It brings us joy and fulfilment, relieves stress and anxiety, and keeps our  minds healthy and happy.

At Life of Colour we want to make artistic and creative activities accessible to everyone – to bring more  joy, light and colour into their lives. To help them slow down, breathe and recalibrate.

For us, it’s never about the end creation. You don’t need to be a talented artist to reap the benefits.  Everyone can tap in to that euphoric feeling of ease, flow and freedom that comes from the process of  creative expression.

How We Do It

Through our modern art products and like-minded community we bring the creative side out of all people - helping them achieve a happy and fulfilled experience of life.

For some that creative spirit may have been abandoned after the childhood years - buried beneath the  burden and responsibilities of adulthood. For others it may never have been given wings in the first  place – borne out of a long-held belief that a creative bone didn’t exist in their body.

Life of Colour nurtures the creative spark within everyone, inspiring a community of children, adults and  families to unleash their inner artist.

Planning art for kids can often become an unnecessary added expense to the budget, we are going to show you how to turn everyday items found in the home into wonderful art! Cardboard rolls, odd socks, collections of paddle pop sticks and paper plates will be transformed from trash to treasure!

Our incredible resident illustrator, Laura Moraiti demonstrates how to draw a cute whale using our Gouache Stix, and our acrylic fine tips and watercolour brush pens for the details.
Life of Colour invites you to the age-old wholesome activity of origami! The first steps will be creating your own origami paper, and then we will move onto learning how to fold the custom-made paper into a variety of different origami formations. We will start off with basic ideas, then once your skills are developed in the art of folding you might like to try a more complex design.
For the first time in two years, people can commemorate the service and sacrifice of those who have served during the Anzac Day celebrations. We bring you some ideas to create rock painting and craft ideas to talk about this special day with your families.
How to prime your rocks for rock painting. Learn to prepare rocks for our stone painting art. We show you what you need to smooth, prime and seal rocks to make amazing art on stones you find in nature or get on landscape shops.
What are the rock painter's best kept secrets to a shiny rock? The rock painting community is warm and welcoming, so we have no issue sharing the amazing tips we have gathered from more seasoned artists. In this article we will cover the basics to a shiny (or matte, or satin) rock! Sealing isn't all just for looks - a good sealant will make your rock painting last for a long time and withstand the elements.
